Midweek Morning Mountain Goat Hike

Rating: Strenuous

Another fun Mountain Goat hike. The idea is to have some hikes that are steep, off trail, fast, strenuous, mini morning adventures.

A good way to know if you're in condition for this is if you can go up and down Atalaya (from the upper parking lot to the top, not the saddle) in 2 hours or less on a clear day. The regular (non-Mountain Goat) is on alternate Wednesdays.

These morning mini-adventures are definitely not for everyone, but they may be for you. We will figure out where we go that morning. It's always fun.

We will meet at 8:00 AM, hike for approximately 2 1/2-3 hours, and try to be back at the cars around 12:00.

For the Mountain Goat hikes, if you haven't hiked with us before, please contact Dave Gold first.

Directions
We will meet on the street that goes INTO the Fort Marcy Complex, NOT the parking FOR the complex. This is so we don't use spaces they need for their patrons. Then we will carpool up somehwere, about a 10-15 minutes drive.

If you look at maps.google.com it will get you close, but doesn't show the entrance road. Artist Road turns into the entrance road to the Fort Marcy Recreational Complex. So coming from downtown, make a left into the complex at the Artist Road light, and park on the side of the entrance road. Dave's cell is[masked] if you're lost or running late. NOTE: If you sign up as Yes, but can't make it PLEASE call me, so we don't wait unnecessarily. Thanks!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
