Recurring Wednesday noon hike at PROVIN TRAILS

Good place for a walk and talk in the woods. Natural trail surface with moderate difficulty. This is a popular dog walking park so bring Fido if you want. Terrain is 40% Hilly, 60% Moderate and 10% flat so you will have 110% terrain! Perimeter  trail is .9miles (about 20 min) with many internal trails to explore as well. Number of loops depends on personal preference. Provin is just West of Robinettes on 4 mile. This is evolving into a great training loop. Trails can be icy at this time of year. Yaktracks, microspikes, etc., are recommended. Hiking poles are also helpful. We meet in the parking lot at noon.

It was a little rough on the main trail due to hard packed snow that was melting, but I wasn't overly prepared being it was my first real hike. Got me &the dog out doing something for a while.I'll no more what to expect, looking forward to next week ;-)

The trail was better for speed skating than an enjoyable hike. Completed one loop and quit for safety's sake. Mark, first-timer, don't let this discourage you!

I pretty much always love this hike, even when it was 5 degrees and windy, but I was a little put off today by the combination of slick ice everywhere, and 6 months worth of defrosted dog poop coating the trail. Oh, well, try again next week! The company, as always, was delightful!
