everyone was able to handle the hike. This group knew one another so they were able to talk and walk at the same time. Photographers were at the back, as usual. no one was injured.

Disregard anything about Seidman Park there was confusing information in the event details that has been corrected. This hike will be at Pickerel Lake Park off of Ramsdell Rd and there is only one entrance so you should have no trouble finding each other. Have a great hike!!

Is this definetly cancelled if it is raining?

    October 18, 2012

I just joined this group yesterday and am new to Grand Rapids. Will you let us know if the event is cancelled because of weather? I'll see if my husband wants to come along...do you typically go out to eat after a hike? (He'll want to know!) :)

Of course notice will be posted on this site Sat AM after I see the forecast . We can go for a bite and something else after the hike. Depends on when we finish. I'm new here too so I always like to explore what is in a hiking area.

Saidman Park @ Honey Creek and 2 Mile in Ada is dog friendly. Also Provin Trails on 4 Mile and E Beltline by Robinettes Orchard.

Like you I'm new to the area. Maybe another member would be good enough to suggest a hiking place that allows dogs?

It should be between 3 and 4 miles but at a leisurely pace. Take photos, rest, munch

I can't, I am leading a hike/backpacking trip up north this weekend. Have fun. Let me know if you want to limit the size of this hike and I can add those parameters for you.
