Announcing a new Meetup for Seattle Hiking and Photography!

What: Daffodil Morning Madness

When: Saturday, March 27,[masked]:45 AM

South Everett Freeway Station/112th Southeast
I-5 median at 112th Street Southeast
Everett, WA 98201

Description: Your eyes are not deceiving you yet again -- the meeting time really is 4:45am. Groan! Morning light was so spectacular last week, that it's worth another early morning madness trip! We'll need around an hour to drive to the daffodil and tulip fields plus 30 minutes to scout locations before the sun begins to color the sky around 6:30am with sunrise at 6:57am, so this is cutting it pretty close! Headlamp or flashlight is required and to save time, we will not be making any convenience stops on the drive down - not even for coffee. :-)

Most of you are familiar with the Skagit Valley daffodil and tulip fields, so I'll leave the description to the photos below. Right now, flowers are mostly daffodils and one early tulip field.

Plan to be back home in the afternoon for a well-deserved nap. Hearty souls who wish to stay for any promising sunset can work out re-arranging carpools back once we know the sky situation.

This trip is weather dependent and may be canceled or postponed as late as Friday night. We want to be fairly certain we'll have partly cloudy or somewhat clear skies before giving up half a night's sleep to photography. :-)

Also, please note that the meeting place is the South Everett Freeway Station park and ride in the middle of I-5 at 112th Street Southeast.
