I beg your pardon. I never promised you a rose garden. Wait, Yes I did. And a fern garden, and an herb garden, and a rock garden. Actually 10 gardens in all.
This is a perfect way to transition from spring into summer, Inniswoods is unlike any other Columbus Metro Park. It has 10 beautiful gardens along with about 1.5 miles of trails. We are going to meet at the patio in the parking lot. From there we will explore the gardens, circle back to the parking lot, then hike the trails.
This is a leisurely, scenic hike. Nothing too difficult. I would still recommend sunscreen, bug spray and water. It is still June after all.
From I-270, take the Route 3/Westerville Road exit south to Dempsey Road and turn left. Go about one mile to Hempstead Road and turn left. Turn again on Hempstead Road as it jogs right just past the Blendon Township Complex. The entrance is approximately one-hundred yards on the right.
