This week we are going to take advantage of the (relatively) cool temperatures (70's) and hit up Great Seal State Park.
Great Seal State Park is dedicated to the wilderness spirit of Ohio. The history of the Shawnee nation and Ohio's early statehood is centered in these rugged hills. Challenging trails through the 1,862-acre park take visitors to scenic vistas of distant ridgetops and the Scioto Valley below. These very hills are depicted on the Great Seal of the State of Ohio.
Great Seal is a beautiful park, with some steep rugged trails. I want to do about 10 miles in the northern section of the park. I want to hike the Shawnee Trail south to Rocky Knob. Then hit, Grouse Rock, Sand Hill, Bald Hill and Sugarloaf Mountain on the way back. Overall, about 10 miles.

Columbus Carpool Info: We'll meet at Lowe's (3899 S High St, Columbus, OH) at 8:45 and leave no later than 9 AM. Look for the dark blue Honda. I'll have my HikeOhio sign up.
