Perseid Meteor Shower

This is an event set up through our friends at Columbus Metro Parks.  The Park will be open late  and we'll be hanging out and viewing the annual Perseid Meteor Shower.  Meet at the Glacier Ridge Windmill.

In Late August, The Earth passes through the debis left by the Swift -Tuttle Comet.  What does that mean for us?  Up to 60 meteors per hour!

BYOB (or LC)  Bring your own blanket or Lawn Chair.

By the time we figured out the detour the park entrance was closed. Just parked the car and saw lots of meteors. Great night for viewing...hope you all saw lots too!

Found it. We had misread the detour sign. Saw 4 big shooting stars though.

You have to take post road north to detour. At sign turn right go back over highway. At end of detour turn left (north) go to round about. You're there. Parking is being turn about just park at first lot and walk in.
