October is Prime Time for hiking. The air is cool and crisp, there's a certain smell and feel, and the colors are amazing. All through October we are going to be hiking one of our amazing MetroParks. This week, We are hiking Blendon Woods.
Blendon Woods is a great park. We're going to hike the Sugarbush trail. This is 2 mile trail that is mostly wooded, so we should be able to get a great view of the changing leaves. We'll finish up with a short hike to Thoreau Lake for a great view of the wetlands.
Directions: From I-270, take State Route 161 exit (30B) toward New Albany onto E. Dublin-Granville Road. Go 1.6 miles then take the Little Turtle Way exit and turn right. Go to Old State Route 161 and turn right. Entrance is 1/2 mile on left.
