Two loops of St. Edward's park

Meet at the small dirt parking lot about 2 miles NW on Spicewood Springs Rd from 360.

We will probably have about a 3.5 hour hike doing two loops of St. Edwards.

This depends on the pace the group sets.  We will hike along the creek.  Then go up into the hills on the other side of the creek, twice!

People welcome, dogs welcome, other species ... subject to discussion.  A kangaroo would be cool - but even though we have had a lot of rain, if you bring your blue whale, it won't have much fun.

Maybe we'll talk about:

22% of stars like the sun should have earth like planets, so what percentage of stars are like the sun, and what percentage of those planets will have life, and what percentage have created intelligent life, and what percentage of intelligent life is interested in figuring out about other planets ... basically I replicated a version of Drake's equation with that - but I still think most about the last question.

The Swiss government owned telco is pitching 'Swiss cloud operator' that promises to keep data private from the NSA.  How many people will move their data and other things to Switzerland, can wikileaks afford it?

Or lots of other weather, our lives, etc.

Bring water, good shoes that you are comfortable hiking in trails in. The hikes typically start on time, so if you are running late and want us to wait - please call my cell.
