Hike Pedernales Falls

Sorry for the late hike posting.

We will (optionally) meet for car pooling at the Planet Fitness parking lot (GPS[masked],[masked]) next to Jim's Restaurant (7101 W Highway 71).  Be there at 7:30 to sort out drivers/passengers so that we can leave there by 7:45.

It will take 40-45 minutes to go from there to Pedernales Park (290 to Rt onto Ranch Road 3232 into the park gate).  Feel free to go directly and meet us at the falls parking area at 8:30.

Entrance fee is $5 per day, per person.  After paying proceed to the falls parking area, this involve going straight and not taking any of the rights to camping and swimming areas.  Hike will be 2.5-3 hours.

We can talk of many things

- where would you like to go that you have never been Machu Picchu and the Great Barrier Reef are on my list.  Maybe that is bucket list stuff - what else is on yours?

- how should I structure my avatars that act on my behalf in cyberspace?  Does my car have one to deal with insurance costs and Jiffy lube?  Is it just obvious things like smarter market triggers?

- what is it that you bring to situations that no one else tends to? Something born of your unique gifts, experience, perspective and vision?

Those who want lunch can decide on a place to meet for lunch in Dripping Springs on the way back.

Dogs welcome I will bring Stokie.  Wear good shoes, bring water for you and any pup you bring. Try to be on time - as we will generally leave both the car pool location and the park entrance at the stated time.  If you are running late - call my cell.

what a terrific and adventurous hike. i also went and hiked in the primitive camping area right after wards and recommend the good solid 7-8 mile hike in there. i thought it would just be a jaunt and alas, it's not but not too difficult, either. thanks for the great company!
