Hike River Place Trail

Dave is taking a well deserved break this Sunday.

River Place is a great hike.  Lots of ups and downs.   We'll do an out and back
and optionally another side trail at the end of the hike.  Expect 3ish hours time.

Directions - Take 2222 (either South from 620, or north from 360) and turn Southwest onto River Place Blvd (right if from 620, left if from 360).  Follow River Place Blvd until it ends on Big View Drive.  Turn right onto Big View Drive, continue until the lake is on your right and part.  Meet at the beginning of the path near the road.

Dress appropriately for the temperature, bring water, good shoes, water for dogs if you bring them.

Since this is Dave's group and I don't have alot of good discussion topics, I stole these from a hike a year ago.  They still work! :)

Discussion topics for may include:

1) building a solar system wide traffic system, if possible what kind of interstellar society could be created with faster than light communications, but without faster than light travel

2) why is that people who can envision great advances in technology cannot seem to believe that humanity will make great political or social advances

3) if we could build machines that are smarter than us, but still subservient, what would we want or not want them to do.

4) what in your life experience so far - are you willing to talk about that you both cherish and regret?

If are like normal, we will talk about none of those things. If you are running late call my cell, otherwise we will leave on time.

cya Sunday.
