We will hike for about 1.5 to 2 hours. This is a moderate hike, small hills and not too rocky. Part of the park is leash free for dogs for those of you who want to bring your pooch along.

Directions: From IH 35, exit Parmer Lane. Lamar Blvd is the 1st stop light. Take a left on Lamar. Travel approx .5 miles. The park is on the right. Travel up the hill. The parking lot is to the left. We'll meet at the picknick tables by the pool.

Please email me directly if you have any questions.

I have a 20th century web page too! It has nothing to do with the hike however. http://home.roadrunner.com/~rjtsite/

Enjoyed the hike.. having water in the creek made it more scenic. Thanks for photos and route map! Another map can be found at http://www.austinridgeriders.com/sites/default/files/book/2011/05/Walnut%20Creek%20Metro%20Park_Kiosk.pdf

Don't know if any of you are geeky like me and like maps, but here's some maps of our route today. (I had a GPS in my backpack) They also might give you ideas on directions to head if you go hiking out at the park again on your own.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
