Jim Hogg-Lake Georgetown

This will be about a 2 hour hike. This is a moderate hike not for 1st time hikers. There are some hills and rocky terrain. Dogs and kids are welcome. Bring plenty of water for you and your dog if you are bringing one. There are no water holes.

Directions: Take I35 North to exit 261A which is RM 2338-Lake Georgetown Andice Exit. Turn left on Williams Drive Travel 6 miles. Make a left at Jim Hogg Rd. Travel appr. 1 mile to the park. The parking will be to left of the Jim Hogg Park sign BEFORE the addentant gate. The parking area is a U shape gravel driveway. We will meet across the street at the Park signRead

    Hi, not a first timer, but I'm not sure what a moderate hike entails. I've been to Enchanted Rock, hiked the trails at McKinney Roughs, Pedernales Falls, Wild Basin, and of course done some of the Greenbelt. Should I try to make it out tomorrow? Thanks!

    Hi Katie! I have never been to Jim Hogg, but if it`s anything like the last 2 hikes, then you would have to carry the stroller 90% of the way :-( . I don`t think the hikes are "stroller-friendly"

    kids welcome... does this mean to hike... or is it stroller friendly? LOL... sorry... want to go badly, wonder if I need to get sitter.. my daughter sits well but is two... she doesn't "adult" hike... Just let me know either way!
