Tanks and Trees in Portola Valley - Tour ($20) and short hike

Meeting Point

No, not water tanks but actual military tanks.  Visit the Military Vehicle Technology Foundation for a 2hr plus tour.   There are over 240 vehicles from USA, USSR, Germany, UK, France etc. The tour costs $20.  $10 for seniors above 65 and children below 12.  Please be serious about coming if you sign up, as the number of available slots is very small.  Initially you will be put on the waiting list and preference will be given to those who signed up for the previously canceled event.  Address above may not show up on your GPS.  Review map above.

Parking is very limited at the MVTF site.  Please meet at Page Mill and Arastradero Park n' Ride lot to carpool at 9am to carpool.

    While the website requires you to arrange a tour, they don't seem to be too strict about it. If folks go early for the Sunday 10am tour and if it is not too crowded, they would likely let you enter.
