Morro Bay State Park Camping

JOIN ME FOR A CAMPING HAPPY NEW YEAR ALONG THE COAST. I'LL HAVE THE CHAMPAIGN WAITING.

I DECIDED NOT TO ABANDON THE GROUP COMPLETELY AND STILL DO NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL (ONE POSTING VERY SOON!) HIKING TRIPS FOR THE GROUP AND OCCASIONAL STATE PARKS LIKE THIS ONE.

RSVP HERE ONLY IF CAMPING WITH US.  THIS IS FOR TWO NIGHTS OF GROUP CAMPING, MONDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT.  YOU CAN STAY AT HOTEL OR MOTEL INSTEAD IF YOU LIKE AND THEN JUST JOIN US FOR HIKES. THE HIKES (TO BE POSTED SOON) WILL HAVE THEIR OWN POSTINGS FOR RSVPING, COMMENTS, AND PICTURE UPLOADING.

The CAMPSITE: We have group campsite Oso reserved.  But since the checkin is at 2PM we will have the hike (already posted) first. Checkout:12PM.Max Vehicles: 11.  THERE ARE SHOWERS :-)

COSTS: Its $208 for the site total.  It will be divided evenly among all attendees even if you just stay one night. And so if 20 show up then the cost per person would be $10.50.

FOOD: I am planning to eat out for dinner for each day at the local breweries, Yay! ;-).  For breakfast and lunch I am suggesting people organize individually or by carpool.  I'll have a small grill and stove that people can borrow for meals if they like.

Hi, do you mind if a local joins your New Years camp fire? Would also be happy to answer any questions about the area.

Hi - this sounds intriguing...I also would only camp the one night(31st), but what a great idea. I am interested in seeing how long those hikes are. And how hilly. I would imagine there is always the possibility of lounging with a book at the campsite and taking short hikes....finding a hot tub somewhere...? I live in Walnut Creek and would love to carpool.

That sounds great...New Years by a camp fire! Last time I did that was in the snow many moons ago. Maybe I can sleep in my car?!
;-) Or hotel of course. I'll wait for you to post those hikes. Thanks Hugo!
