Hike # 17_2009 - San Geronimo Ridge & White Hill ~ 11-12 Miles

The Hike: This is an intermediate to advanced hike and its one-way and so we will need to do the car shuttle thing again. See the parking section for gathering location. See below for trail details and maps.

Parking: After passing the town of Fairfax on Sir Francis Drake Blvd you'll start going uphill in about ~1.5 miles. Near the top the road becomes a bridge known as Brown Bridge. Park right after you cross it at a gravel parking lot on your right. Hopefully my dark blue Honda CRV and me will be visible there. We'll gather here and efficiently carpool to our start location further west at Shafter Bridge. Below is a google map to help you locate the parking area

Meeting point: See above in the parking section. Call if you are running late or get lost at [masked].

Optional After hike event: Iron Springs Brewery

Finally getting around to uploading my GPS routes unto my Topo and getting some better statistics than the original estimate: For this hike the final distance was ~10.9mi and the gain ~2718ft.

Great Weather (okay that was luck), beautiful views, good guide and most important great conversation and a fun group

Yet another great hike. It's just amazing how many different environments we have in the Bay Area. It was sunny and warm, but the wind chill kept the temperature nice. Everyone seemed to have a good time chatting with one another, as is the usual case on these hikes.

Beautiful hike, brisk pace, excellent workout, nice people, great beer afterward. I'm going to become a Ridge Trail groupie.

I was very, very late to the hike, but I did manage to meet up with everyone for nearly the last 3 miles of the route. There are a lot of great views from this trail; I need to get back and do the rest. I did meet some good people today.
