The Hike: For a detailed map of the hiking route see:

Parking & Meeting Point: Park at the roadside lot near the intesection of Ridgecrest Blvd & Pan Toll Rd. Note that if you are driving on the panoramic hwy Pantoll Rd will sneak up on you so make sure to keep an eye out for signs to either Mt Tamalpais or Pantoll Rd. On the off chance the parking lot is full, try the next parking lot just up on ridgecrest blvd towards the peaks and then walk on over. Alternatively, park along the road where it is permitted and safe.To help you find the place please review or use the google map below for directions:,-122.613537&sspn=0.00943,0.021136&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Ridgecrest+Blvd+%26+Pan+Toll+Rd,+Southwest+Marin,+Marin,+California&ll=37.910448,-122.612658&spn=0.004266,0.021136&t=h&z=16&layer=c&cbll=37.910453,-122.612656&panoid=fPJ0DR3C5lYJ9hIkhRcAQA&cbp=11,348.81,,0,3.26

Optional After Hike Event: Marin Brewing Co. I must go to brewery for my last hike and this the closest and most convenient for this location. Please RSVP below so that I can get a head count.

Geology For Those Interested:
For this BART hike will be weaving in and out of the following three terranes: the Nicasio Reservoir Terrane, the San Bruno Terrane, and our old friend from previous hikes, the Franciscan Complex Melange Terrane. Again, the same article linked in the past hike has a useful summary of the rocks and geology we may see:
And additionally and the companion text for the map examples I use in my notes read:
For some of my rock formation notes and geologic maps I found in the internet for this area and cut out for our amateurish use see:
