PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS EASTER SUNDAY!
Personally, I can't think of a better way to spend it than on the trail in the Spring. But I wanted everyone to be aware!
DUE TO OVERWHELMING INTEREST IN THE FLOWER HIKE...SECOND TRIP PLANNED!
To be sure and accommodate everyone for this hike, Activity Leader, Charissa Thacker will lead a second trip on Sunday, March 31st. This will be the same hike, just on a different day so that more people will be able to join in on the fun and experience all the pretty flowers!
We will meet at the Winn Dixie in Lynn Haven and head up to the Scott Rd. trailhead around 8am. After a brief safety talk, we will hike in from Scotts Rd approximately 4 miles, have lunch, and then return to our vehicles, making this an 8 mile hike. There will be no shuttling of cars.
Bring bug spray, sunblock, lunch and plenty of water as this is an all-day hiking activity. DON’T FORGET YOUR CAMERAS!!! This is a hike that is sure to please the senses. Also, any ‘wildflower field guides’ you may have would certainly be useful.
Please wear orange as this hike will be during ‘Spring Turkey’ hunting season. We will want to stay on or close to the trail to minimize any conflicts with the hunters that also use this beautiful area.
