Zoo Lights DC

Bundle up and bring yourself (and a friend) to this awesome exhibition, on display for a limited time only. Hand-in-hand with your meetup buddies, we'll walk thru the zoo gardens observing the spectacular scenery of animals in bright lights. On the way we will stop for hot chocolate at the zoo cafe. What better way to enjoy a winter afternoon before the new year? This event is free. Zoo parking is not, but there should be street parking available. If you plan to come, pls RSVP so I can look out for you. My cell:[masked]-7874. http://nationalzoo.si.edu/

Let us meet at 5:00 pm in the Visitor Center of the Zoo. The Visitor Center is a large building on your left after you enter the zoo from Connecticut Ave entrance (the main entrance). We will wait there for few minutes for everybody to gather and then leave to walk inside the zoo. Since we have a very large number of RSVPs and the weather is slightly unfavorable (though expected to improve by the evening), please be on time or update your RSVP if you are not coming.

We are also planning to go to Spices Asian Restaurant & Sushi Bar in Cleveland Park afterwards - 3333 Connecticut Ave NW, Washington, DC 20008. Phone:(202) 686-3833. This restaurant selection is tentative and may change based on how long we stay at Zoo Lights and how many people are interested in going.

See you this evening.

Very nice set up of lights, the cascading lights were really neatly done.

Ive decided to sit this one out because of weather:( sorry for the short notice. If it snows all day here, Id prefer not to risk the drive to my metro station. But there's no way Im missing the next one:) can't wait to see everyone again!

Hey folks. To the extent that this is helpful, I live in the dupont/georgetown area. The weather is fine here and there are very few cars on the road.. which leads me to believe that folks are still away on holiday. i also saw a large number of parking spots open in my area..which never happens on a saturday.
