Nina...good to see you at the last meeting...(promise no more Tommy Jefferson gags...oh what the heck one more....what were John Adams last words? Tommy Jefferson lives!).....actually that was true...but Adams was wrong, Jefferson died a few hrs earlier (and then Adams died) on the same day, exactly 50 yrs after the dec of indep. was signed....Didn't know that Queen Isabella was such a stiff...know she tortured and killed Moors and Jews but thought she was a half ass
    partron of the arts.....

Thank you Barbara for another great meeting....

Hi Barbara...I am curious...How did you come up with such a hallowed, special, precious topic like the high renaissance?

My time was expired but I still have some pearls of wisdom...

EDITORIAL OPINION...not necc...that of Barbara, the history group, the meetup group or the progress of mankind...

Brian...from Queens..gave a talk (I forgot what it was on) that was too short...He suffers from the opposite problem of some of the other speakers who were too long...I propose to Barbara to keep the speakers talk to 20 minutes or less...(enforced by the hook!! I have one in my possession )...followed by a lively discussion...

To our special leader Barbara..... I have to
call you out re not including RAPHAEL as the final piece to the Italian HIGH Renaissance in your promo.....the painter of the greatest piece of art and history in er history in my opinion ....THE SCHOOL OF ATHENS...his masterpiece...

Also..I heard from good sources that you Barbara are an expert on the intrigue re the English Kings and Queens...Do I smell a future talk here?

I hope your friend Brian shows up...I am trying to get him a job at the WORD bookstore in Jersey City..he is the most qualified...

Denise M...I love bankers and history...(Well I like bankers but love history).....

Nina P...You are one of the hidden gems of the history group....a Tommy Jefferson advocate..I would love to be included in a debate between the two of us.....GREATNESS (ALL AGREED)...but tainted by a sin re his own time...

In my opinion the high renaissance was the second greatest period in western civ...(after classical greece)..

Yes Brian is a font of history knowledge. Unfortunately, he will not be able to give a talk in April.

What...no Brian on Sch....I protest....I demand my $15 Asian food tab back!

All jokes aside...I think the new topic probably touches on one of the three greatest events in history.....

Who is speaking? It is a very special topic of mine....(but I still want to hear Brian talk on Sch...a topic I am somewhat deficient on...) Thank you Barbara!

Brian from Queens is a font of history knowledge...even though I am envious of him for his knowledge of history and he shows up fashionably late, I never met anybody who knows more about history than him.....
