Hello. I spent two summers in San Gemini and find myself thinking about it quite often. I had a great time while there and hope to return soon.
I was a student during the summer of 2007 and returned as the teaching assistant during the summer of 2008.
I currently live in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois
I am currently working with an Architecture Firm in Chicago.
I think that it's extremely important to preserve and restore our buildings, art, and ruins for future generations to enjoy.
Max, Polly, and Nikos provide a great program. They want to enrich the experiences of all who participate in the program and work very hard to do so. Also, the people of San Gemini were very welcoming and friendly making for a great time.

rabbit glue is one of the most used animal glues in the tempera technique, mostly for the ground (gypsum+rabbit glue) before painting. We have examples since the middle ages, so I'd say it's a pretty resistant material if kept far from humidity.
i wouldn't know, i got to come home for christmas, but i leave to go back on tuesday, hope your holidays were fabulous!
HAPPY NEW YEAR MIKE!! Happy to know that we'll meet in San Gemini again! Take care!
