Arduino, Beer, Pizza and Foosball

Theme for This Month: Arduino!

The Bend Arduino Group will be joining us this month!  If you haven’t heard of Arduino, you will soon. Think of it as the future brains of robotics priced at the consumer level.

They'll be showing multiple Arduino projects as well as a video of a local Solar Car project they worked on which will soon be embarking on a cross country race.

We’ll also have beer, pizza, foosball, Oculus Rift and very likely (depending on Google’s shipping speed) the newest model of Google Glass.

A quick recap for those who missed our last meetup:

- 65+ members

- 4x 3D printers

- a full body, 3D scanner

Location for Next Meetup

626 NW Arizona Ave. Suite 7 (3rd floor)

Bend, OR 97701

When: May 7th from 6-8pm

The Goal of These Meetups

Bring together as many tech entrepreneurs (current or inspiring), devs of all languages, engineers, gamers, artists (graphics or other), UX / UI junkies, nerds, geeks, hackers (both software and hardware), folks interested in the “internet tubes” and playing with technology under one roof. Gatherings will be held once a month and anyone that fits the above criteria is invited.

I'm proposing no structure, presentations or agenda. The natural exchange of passion-driven conversations is far more interesting.

Look forward to seeing you May 7th!

So, my 4-H technology Club, the Clover STEMs, would like to also present their computer game entry for the High School Oregon Game Project Challenge (competition May 10). They are proud to be from Central Oregon and competing in the state-wide computer game programming competition. I would also like to encourage other groups to organize because we have great potential here in the High Desert!
