Learn How to Clean Sheep's Wool (again)

*** HI EVERYONE ***

*It will be on May 5th *

Will do it again... Still have fleece in my garage... (this is one way to clean house!)

There is no charge for this meetup, but someone brought some produce from a garden, and that was lovely! No requirement to do so!

after we're done cleaning all the fleece, we'll do some drum carding and then dyeing with food coloring... different day, all experiential... i.e. I'm no expert.

I have cleaned an entire fleece. It's hard work, and there's some grubbiness (and smell - but not terrible) to it. Interesting, though! If you're interested in learning how, I can show you. We can do it at my home, or if you have a location with super hot water from the faucet.

I will demonstrate. Additional wool for your cleaning pleasure will be available for sale.

I thought I could stop by after a party, but it went long. :-( I'm sorry I missed it!

I'm a knitter, just did the LA Yarn Crawl myself! I'd love to learn to prep fleece for spinning. I have another engagement this day, how late will you be meeting? Will I miss it all if I'm an hour late? I can bring my collection of food-safe dyes (Wilton's gel dyes, kool-aid) and help with that portion if you want. Is there anything else we should bring? Like gloves? Also, I have a baby who's pretty much attached to me. If you'd rather he not come, I can wait until he's older to join in on these meet ups.

Very interested in learning. Depending on what facilities are needed I may be able to host the Meetup at my place.

I don't have a lawn, but a patio might work. The sink may be more of a challenge. I'll have to give it some thought.

I'm ok with doing it again at my home, then...
