  • After you clean wool, you card it.  If you didn't make the first session, perhaps you'll make the second.  I have tons of wool, and I want to clean my way through it, so there will probably  be another opportunity to join the cleaning session. I can host a max of 6 at any session, and that's a lot.

Again... After you clean wool, you card it...

This meetup will happen after the above meet up.  If we need to host multiple cleaning sessions before we get to carding and the rare wool aspect, we will...

I am lucky to have the benefit of Kathi R. who has taught internationally on the subject of dyeing wool with plants.  We are hoping to establish a dye garden here in Long Beach where we can set plants then eventually use them for dyeing wool, spinning then weaving.

Please join us in this young yet exciting group.  Kathi has spent much time on the subject of wool and fibers of various sort.

Donation $5.00.  You will get to keep a sample of the wool you card.

    Pay when you get here.

Here's a piece I wrote about Kathi.  She's awesome, and Long Beach is very lucky to have her...

Hi Linda, Let's do an event, then! I have some home schoolers who are interested in doing a fiber experience. Email me. If you're in Long Beach, come and see our space and let's talk about what you can do to help us! (if you are willing...)

I'd prefer weekday afternoons, but really any time is fine. Will Meetup email me when a date is set, or should I check back?

Heather, the person who was available to do this is no longer available. I'm seeking someone to do it.

Bummer! Well, thanks for the information. Maybe we could find someone at next year's California Wool and Fiber Festival. :)

My daughter would love an event like this. She is the knitter spinner fiber expert in our family. Saturdays would be best for us.
