Long time organic veggie gadener, now learning about drought tolerant CA native plants and just read 'Sowing Seeds in the Desert' by Masanobu Fukuoka. He was 100 years ahead of his time.
Primarily gardening and straw bale housing.
We missed you at the reading, Bee Bee. It was a great time (and people hung out afterward too)! See you next time? Oh and btw, in regard to your message, I've only been to three other meetup events, so I'm anything but an expert. One was a walk in the Oakland Hills, which was nice; one was a trip to SFMOMA, and lunch afterward (also nice); one was to a wine bar and a movie [wine bar too loud for conversation, movie crappy :) ]. Ta-ta, --E.
All right, Bee Bee. It'll be nice to see you again. :)
Hi, Bee Bee B. Welcome! Nonfiction is perfectly fine too, so don't hesitate in that department if you find that's where you're drifting. But, yeah, please feel free to use the group as an excuse to bust out the fiction. :)
Thanks for sharing about Lakoff events, Bee Bee. For this (and future events) that may be of interest, but are too late to post as an official outing -- or for which you don't want to be automatically assigned as the Organizer by the Meetup system -- please feel free to post the info. in the "Discussions" section of the Progressive Singles site, so others will learn the details.
Hi Bee Bee, I'm also welcoming you to MidPeninsula American Dream Council"s Meetup page. Seems like progressives are running full tilt these days leading up to the election. Since you are in San Rafael, there is a large and active local council in Marin that you may want to join by going to Moveon.org :
You are certainly welcome to join us if you are down on the Peninsula!
Hi, Bee Bee. Welcome to Progressive Singles. Am thrilled to read in your profile that you enjoy activism and are interested in developing events to engage and inform others. We need you! Hope to meet you soon at an event. Also, please feel free to suggest an event of interest to the group (even if you don't want/can't host it).
