Natural Building Workshop

Work with tools, renewable materials and learned techniques to construct durable, efficient and less expensive structures.

Natural building techniques are no longer a relic of the past but a model for the future. Using sustainable, recycled or salvaged resources, we can build almost anything! Learn about natural building materials, tools, techniques, design, site selection and explore the environmental, economic and social benefits that natural building has to offer.

What kind of benefits can natural building offer? For one, a healthy home. Using natural materials, you'll be free from manufactured and often harmful chemicals that infiltrate our homes. You’ll also discover other techniques that use water better, reduce indoor air pollution, use less energy and improve the overall health of your family and surrounding environment. Join us, grab a hammer and get building!

I may not be able to make it. Inland Label GMOs is having a rally and march and I have a solar powered sound system they want to use. I will try to come to the building event, but if I can't make it I would be happy yo host a green living meet up at my place some time. I built a rammed earth off grid solar powered home. I demonstrate a wide variety of energy and resource conserving technologies. Solar electric home power, water pumping, water heating, cooking, water distillation and home heating and cooling. Efficient appliances and equipment allow maximum benegits with minimal energy and resources.

I have been living in an offgrid with solar energy and my own well for more than 35 years. I built a rammed earth home and did all the solar, electrical, and plumbing work

This is a great venue! Everyone should visit the Ecology Center. Tons to see and do! Not to mention a stop at South Coast Farms farmstand.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
