Rabbit Processing Class - $45

During this class, we will cover how to humanely kill and butcher a rabbit.

The registration cost includes the cost of the rabbit for you to take home after the class. We will also provide the tools required for cleaning, gloves and a bag for you to take your rabbit home.

Please wear grubby clothes and close toed shoes. While this process is not hugely messy, there will be some mess.

No one who does not want to will be required to kill a rabbit, but this is a class on how to butcher and process a rabbit so be prepared to do the skinning and cleaning.

After RSVPing for this class, you must pay for your registration in order to reserve your spot.  We give priority to prepaid registrants.  You can pay for your class on our website at www.eigriochfarms.com/livestock-butchering.html

We have an extremely limited number of spots available for this class, so please, if you are interested in participating, please let us know sooner rather than later.

Please bring a cooler with ice to transport your rabbit home.

If you would like to register for the class or have any questions, please email or visit our website at www.eigriochfarms.com

    Hello Everyone,

The Rabbit Processing Class is still going to take place today! The class will take place under a covered aisle-way, but it is still windy and raining, so please bring a warm sweatshirt, jacket, hat, etc.

    See all of you soon,

Will you also be hVing.class on which meats are ok to eat raW if prlperly dressed and/or how to cook without flame(the way sashimi is eaten with wasabi) I have read of intentional diets that are all raw including meat, but usually fresh meat not store meat. Often it will be a hunter eating straight from the kill the way an animal does, or who gets fresh farm beef.cuts. Salmon & fish and shellfish is a really good question as mY be eaten on the spot?

Hello Felicia. We do not have a class on eating raw meats nor do we have any information to provide you with on it. In our class, we do show which parts of the animal are usable and which parts should be disposed of.

Thank you. Unfortunately THIS cl ass conflicts with another event, but I am interested as the meat seems the right size and they are in many areas.

I've come down with a terrible flu and won't be able to make it :-( I'd hate to infect anyone. Hopefully the class will be offered again.

It's part of learning how to survive when the need arise..I watched my mom ol' school killing chickens and plucking their feathers and cleaning their guts out before boiling them for dinner...it's native way to survive and look forward to knowing how to do such if I happen to have the need to do so...otherwise it's KFC for me!

As much as I prefer not to take a life of any kind, I do understand that it's going to be a necessity sometime between now and my eventual demise. So, I might as well prepare myself for being able to dispatch them humanely.
