Learn how a 1/4 acre, suburban residence is harvesting rainwater and greywater to save water, save money and grow a beautiful and healthy garden. The workshop will cover all five systems on the site, plus water retention strategies, such as mulch basins, bioswales and how to disconnect a downspout. The workshop is focused on strategies to capture and manage water on site, how to set-up greywater reuse, how to capture and store rainwater in tanks and in the ground, and how to build soil for resilient and healthy plants.
The workshop will cover how to assess a site, calculate loads, select components and plants, know what soap/shampoo are safe.
Bring a site plan of your property so we can determine your water harvesting potential.
