Free - Del Mar Fair Exhibit Workday - Earthbuild to Aquaponics

We're going to be building our new exhibit for the 2014 San Diego County Fair. Come help us as we bring back our straw bale chicken coop, and our cobb oven for an earthbuild re-make. You can assist with Aquaculture and Hydroponics set up. Vertical growing section, Hydroponics square foot garden, and more. We will be promoting the San Diego Center for Sustainable Agriculture, to be built after the fair.
We will have the Sun Oven ready to cook up some chili, and the BBQ with Dogs. You may bring something to add, or share :)
Suggest donation to benefit the San Diego Center for Sustainable Agriculture. This class is being held inside the Del Mar Fairgrounds, if you made it to one of our prior class, it's the same location! If you didn't, we'll meet on Via De La Valle, West of Jimmy Durante, in front of Pamplemousse Grill by 9:45. WE WILL CARAVAN TO THE LOCATION FROM THERE.

Wear comfortable clothing which are OK to get dirty. Bring gloves, wear sturdy shoes, and bring plenty of water. We will also invite you back to see the finished education exhibit, and share your experience with others.

Really enjoyed the work, the finished product, the education, and the people. Even listening to Alex ramble on and on was pretty educational. ,o) Looking forward to helping with the fair on "enviro" day and with the aquaponics system... especially the sensors and robots.

This will be a good time to discuss what to do in the event of power failure. We are prepared, are you? Come find out how to prevent consequences from a system failure.

We will be there, ready to get dirty. If there was a way to cook eggs, we could bring a couple dozen from backyard, free range chickens. Brunch Burritos? Egg dogs? LOL. Not sure we will survive the entire day (we are old) but will certainly get work done. I do uC control and automation, is there any need for that at this point? E.g. water level monitoring / filling, etc...
