Everyone on this planet should be versed in survival techniques at the basic level -- growing your own food, access to clean safe water.
Undecided at this time.
I can make cold-processed soap, I grow veggies and have fruit trees, I have a compost bin, I now know at a basic level how to run a line from a washer (greywater) to my garden. I haven't done it yet but I have seen it and participated in a workshop. Over the years I have acquired my own power tools and have built a rabbit hutch, laid flooring, installed molding, built above ground veggie planters, etc. Being a single parent since my son was a baby has forced me to seek out information on sustainability. With growing information on the condition of our soils, chemicals on our food and water, and the failing economy, it is wise to learn as much as possible and even form small communities for sustainability.
My corporate job is software asset management but my real love and outlet is in growing organic produce and becoming more self sustainable. One of my passions is making cold-processed soap.
