Copenhagen has been recognized as one of the cities with the best quality of life. It is also one of the best designed city. Sometimes known as "the city of spires", Copenhagen has a lot of old churches and castles, but there is a boom in recent years of modern architecture, which integrates harmoniously with the old.

Copenhagen has a service-oriented economy. At the same time, it is voted the "best city for cyclists" with around 400 km of designated bike lanes in the city, and about 40% of the population commute to work by bicycle. It is also considered one the world's most environmentally friendly cities, intending to become carbon neutral by 2025.
