BEYOND TRAVEL (6) VIENNA : a city of two worlds

VIENNA : a city of two worlds

(in Cantonese with English explanations if needed)

20 October 2012 (Saturday), 4 p.m.

a slideshow by Gwendolyn Wong

The history of Vienna goes back to the Roman Empire, hence beautiful old buildings abound. The city is, of course, famous for cakes and desserts. Yet, Vienna is unique in being "the city of music". Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Strauss, Bruckner, Mahler, Brahms, Verdi, ... all lived here until death. Pianist Gwendolyn Wong is going to introduce to us her exposition of this city of music, at the same time grand, elegant and touristy.

For those who love culture, history, and classical music!
