HKCO Book Club - Inaugural Meeting - Flourish by Martin Seligman

The idea for a book club focusing on topics related to coaching floated on talking to a number of our members and I am exciting to announce that we will hold our first regular meeting in November.

The idea is to have a different member hosting each meeting with a book he/she would like to discuss and learn more about.  We shall discuss not just the content but also ways of putting the concepts into practice in your coaching and also personal life.

There are of course thousand of books out there on topics including coaching theory and practice, models and tools based on psychology and positive psychology theories, philosophy, leadership and business, entrepreneurship, communication, spirituality and mythology.  To help start this off, I have picked 3 books I would like to host meeting on:

Nov 2012: Flourish - Martin Seligman

tbd: Mindsight - Dan Siegel

tbd: Immunity to Change - Robert Kegan & Lisa Lahey

and complied a list of possibilities:

If you are interested, please sign up for the first session and also fill in the following survey: with your book and also meeting time and location suggestions.

Hope you guys are enjoying the book so far. One of most important theme in Flourish is about finding your strength and use it in your daily life. If you haven't tried so, here's the link to a free survey to help you find your top strengths: You are welcomed to bring a print out of your top 24 strengths and we can discuss various fun and creative ways to bring more of your strengths to shine in the world. See you on Saturday.
