Very short notice but I have tomorrow free and plan a return visit to Nam Sang Wai to do some bird photography and you are welcome to join me. The weather and tide times look good. I recommend a lens of at least 400mm.

Not only is Howard a good Photo Meet Organizer he is also a great weather forecaster as witnessed by the best sunshine for the past 2 weeks this morning!

We will meet at 8:00am at exit G1 right? What is your mobile number in case we can't find each other? I will bring a 500mm mirror lens on an APS body. Or do you think a 200mm on a full-frame is better?

      Yes 8am exit G1 (i think I'm remembering the correct exit :)

200mm even on a crop body isn't enough. If your 500mm fits the crop body that's probably your best option in terms of reach. I'm taking a crop body and 400mm prime plus a 1.4x for possible use on stationary birds. My kit until I sold the lens recently was a crop body and 500mm usually with a 1.4x or even a 2x. I expect to be cropping quite strongly with only 400mm now. My mobile is 92882338.

BTW they forecast about 11c in the morning so wrap up well and avoid bright clothes.

Tempted to delay my departure to go out shooting. Unfortunately can't make it, but very much look forward to see the photos. Shot at Mai Po earlier this year, and hope to make it to Nam Sang Wai someday. Cheers!
