Hoodlums Meetup

  • Jun 14, 2012 · 6:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Hoodlums meetups follow a "Coding Dojo" style - we pick an interesting problem and solve it as a group. Bring a laptop. We have WiFi and a projector... and when we're done hacking, we grab a beer or a bite.

Although this year's meetups are still monthly, most of them are not on the second Thursday of the month as rooms aren't available. Please check the individual dates.

Thanks Peter. I played around with it for a while and eventually got it 50% working - enough to write the stars function, but not a full solution. In the end I cheated and looked at your solution (it's getting late, sue me!) It's quite cool - you can unfold binary trees as well as lists with the same code, and presumably many other recursive structures. Code is here: https://gist.github.com/2933547

10 minutes on the train on the way home and I got it working. As suspected, it was simpler than we were making it. I've posted a scrappy version at https://gist.github.com/2933484 and will tidy up when I get a moment.
