Bombay Bistro - NORTH Indian Dinner

It turns out that the South Indian side of Bombay Bistro serves lunch buffet ONLY. So! I am scheduling another meetup for lunchtime on Saturday April 6 so we can try South Indian!

If you'd rather join us for dinner, we'll be hitting up the North Indian side of Bombay Bistro on Sunday April 7.

-------------------------------------------------------------

North Indian isn't generally as phenomenally spicy as South Indian, but it still holds a kick! Last time the group was here, it was a bit hit, so let's check it out again for dinner!

Please note that Bombay Bistro's South Indian & North Indian are two distinct restaurants with their own buffet, seating, etc., so make sure you meet us in the correct place! They are connected by a long hallway, so it's not too big of a deal if you end up in the wrong place :-)

Hi everyone, hope all are well... I was wondering since there are so so many on the waiting list that we possibly add another set of tables...I'm sure the BB would enjoy the extra business.. What do you all think ?

The waitlist is specifically set up to accomodate this expectation as Meetup admin. knows this is the norm as well. Unless you have a pre-pay event, we never excpect these RSVP's to remain solid. it is also quite likely that even if all the people move up from the waitlist that it won't be an event with 16 total people attending, thus making it a more manageable, and socially intimate affair. Most of us as event organizers will bump up the limit as far as the restaurant can comfortably accomodate a singe table, even upping the count a few people, so that we may accomodate as many members as possible, knowing full well that the end result will be less total people

And you are right, as a former restaurant chef who knows the restaurant business exptremely well, any venue enjoys the business ...... HOWEVER, none are too keen on have 2 sets of reservations for large parties on the books and scaling it down to 1 table the day of the event, sending extra staff home that were prepared for a larger group and busy service. This has happened to me as a group leader and event organizer, and others who organzier events WAY too many times, and is not acceptable, to say the least fun to deal with..... I hope now this brings some things to light for you in understanding the process and thinking behind how we set up events, which is no easy task .... As always, if you or anyone wishes to set up an event of your own, you can set your own limit and work with the venues to accomodate your request. All you need to do is shoot Kevin an e-mail and he will happily post the event for you!!!

I've just discovered that Bombay Bistro does not serve their South Indian section during dinner times (they only have a lunch buffet for South Indian). Oops, my bad.

So! Here's what we're going to do:

Saturday, April 6 at 12:00PM - Lunch at Bombay Bistro SOUTH Indian side

Sunday, April 7 at 6:30PM - Dinner at Bombay Bistro NORTH Indian side.

I've kept all of the RSVP's for the April 5 dinner event in-tact. If you'd like to attend the other event, please feel free to adjust your RSVP's accordingly (or, why not try both!)
    Thanks for the understanding,
