Lunch at Midtown Global Market!

Midtown Global Market offers a vast array of foods ranging all the way from Hispanic to Caribbean to African to Middle Eastern to Asian and back.

Join us us in the food court, and go grab some delectable delights from among the many spicy offerings: Taqueria Los Ocampo (Mexican), Sabbai (Cambodian/Thai), Pham's Deli (Vietnamese), Safari Express (East African), and Holy Land Deli (Middle Eastern).

Don't forget to wash it down with a refreshing Bubble Tea! Sharing is definitely encouraged for those who want to try a bit of each.

No RSVP limit, and no waiting list -- anybody is free to join. Just bring your appetite!

Hello everyone Thank you all for allowing us to come and meet and greet and hang out for a small amount of time. I had a nice time and look forward to seeing everyone again.

Thanks to Kevin for organizing this event. It was a fun and ecclectic group. It was good to meet all of you. Hope to see you all again at another meet up. Great Location!

I have never been to the Global Market. What is the parking situation?

    October 19, 2013

    • Kevin

Hi Shreeni, here's what their website says about parking: Free parking for Midtown Global Market shoppers at Midtown Exchange Parking ramp for up to 2 hours with validation with any purchase.

Convenient parking is available in the metered surface parking lot on the West side of the Market and in the Midtown Exchange Ramp to the East of the Market. Please note that customers parking at the metered lot location cannot get their tickets validated.

this is my first time meeting with the group...how do i identify the group and are we eating anywhere specific or just grabbing food and coming back to the food court Damita

Hi Damita, I'm going to have a "Hot and Spicy Food Lovers" sign on my table in the food court so that people will know where to find us; we'll try to find an area we can all sit near each other. Other than that, no specific rules -- I'd encourage a casual atmosphere!

Don't forget my friends at the Left Handed cook - (Korean) Asian fusion! I met the owners before they opened this place in another meet-up group and they and their foods are spicy AWESOME!

But don't take my word for it - the photos alone on their fb page should more than speak for itself - D.E.L.I.S.H!

Just an update that due to a conflict, I just updated the event date to the following Saturday (it is now scheduled for October 19 instead of October 12). Apologies if this inconveniences anyone; however, the date is set in stone, and I promise not to change it again. Thanks for understanding!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
