Craving Cambodian? Let's try Cheng Heng Restaurant!

Cheng Heng is a small Cambodian restaurant on University Ave

When I read the reviews on this place, my mouth started watering. Lots of curries, soups, and stir fries to fill your craving. And apparently this is the only restaurant in town that serves something called "sticky rice doughnuts".

And did I mention they serve Bubble Tea? Yum!

By the way, give yourself a little extra time due to get there due to the construction work on University Ave.

This was a real feast! I love the order-what-you-want and pass-around-the-dishes idea.

It was good to support one of the businesses going through a hard time due to LRT construction.

University is still under construction and the street is closed on the side of the Cheng Heng. To get there from I-94 the best way is to exit at Dale and take the feeder road east (towards downtown St. Paul) to University. take a left on Western and then another left on Aurora (right before University). Go one block and take a right on Arundale. Then turn into the parking lot on the right. Walk back to Arundale and go to University. Turn left on the sidewalk half block to Cheng Heng.

I go here all the time for lunch and have hosted a few meetup here also- took my cooking group and they loved it! Prices are incredibly reasonable for good food, the owner is a real sweetie :-) I will see if I can make it!
