It's early in the week and you don't feel like coooking. You walk into the restaurant, the food is ready for you, the price is right, and your friends are there to share and enjoy home-made Mexican cooking ... It's Perfect! Let's celebrate 2013, a great time to get out to meet and get aquainted with other members!
The food is great, everything is authentic and made from scratch to order. We did an event here last year and enjoyed wonderful food - especially the many house-made sauces, showcasing the different peppers used in Mexico, which Owner Miguel explained to us that were unique, flavorful - and some "muy caliente" - YAY!
Migel has put together a menu just for our group this time; we'll be doing a buffet dinner using his family recipes from Mexico home-cooking traditions, that will include a tasty vegetable dish, a delicious traditional beef dish with tomatoes, onion, and cilantro, a "hot & spicy" pork dish, salad, rice, beans, and those famous salsas & sauces!http://www.homirestaurant.com/about.html
Cost is $10.95 plus tax. Beverages including American and Mexican Sodas available for purchase, and gratuity of 15 - 18 % is suggested. Members from "Let's Get Cookin" will be joining this group, so if you are interested you should sign up soon before it fills up! As Homi does not serve liquor, they will allow us to bring in our own beer... what, you say? Yep, that's right! Sooo, in case you are not familiar - I've made up a list of Mexican beers ... (Everyone is on their own with the alcohol). You may also bring a bottle of wine if you wish to, please be discreet and use a tote for bringing in/taking home what you have left. Some examples: Tecate, Carta Blanca, Modelo Especial, Dos XX, Dos XX Amber, Negra Modelo, Pacifico, Bohemia , Corona ...
MAKE SURE YOU ARE 100% CERTAIN YOU WILL ATTEND - THIS IS A PRIVATE PARTY FOR MEETUP ONLY AND WE NEED EXACT HEAD COUNT FOR THE FOOD PREPARATION 2 DAYS BEFORE THE EVENT!!!
