I've read the earliest D&D fiction from the early 80's, to some great dystopian fiction, to the best sci-fi has to offer. I don't have a favorite author, nor authors, but I do want to send a special shout out to Mr. Cline on "Ready Player One." Good game Sir...good game.
I became addicted to the "free" and cheap reads on my Nexus 7, using the Kindle app. So, I am currently reading a very good series by Hugh Howley. Anyone know it?
I am a father, and I work a lot of hours, so...once a month is about all I can offer up. Unless you bring sushi. Sushi changes everything...
I'm not saying I have PTSD. I AM saying that the drivers in Houston are only slightly better than Kuwaiti drivers. The city scares me (because of the drivers) and since I live in Hockley (west side of Houston, just west of Cypress)...I prefer anything within 30 minutes of there.
I prefer a bookstore, coffee shop, or someone's house. My fourth and fifth choice would be the "Serenity" and/or anywhere in Piers Anthony's mind. His fiction may have impacted my pubescent years...
After 14 years of military service spanning three decades (the math is fuzzy, and I had a 7 year break!), I finally have the time to pursue my 6,417 interests. My favorite don't-get-dressed-so-I-can-relax past time is reading. So here I am.
