Introduction

First started watching anime back in the days of Speed Racer, Starblazers, and Battle of the Planets, then didn't pick it up again until circa 2004, when I really got back into it big-time. Regular attendee at Anime @ The Alamo.

What is/are your favorite Anime(s)? List as many or as few as you want.

Currently really enjoying Eden of the East. Loved Hellsing, Cazador de La Bruja, Azumanga Daioh!, Shuffle!, Ghost Hound, Cowboy Beebop, Samurai Champloo, Last Exile, Witch Hunter Robin, just finished (and loved) Chrome Shelled Regios, currently finishing Requiem for the Phantom; I like slice-of-life shows, some Sci-Fi, some Fantasy, Comedies (especially Romantic comedy). I honestly prefer Dubs to Subs (I know, blows my Otaku "cred" to hell). Favorite Voice Actors include: Monica Rial, Luci Christian, Greg & Chris Ayres, Chris Sabat, Crispin Freeman, Steven Jay Blum, Carrie Savage, Hilary Haag, Todd Halberkorn, Chris Patton, Jessica Boone, Kira Vincent Davis, Shelly Calene-Black, and Colleen Clinkenbeard. Prefer shows from about 2004 onward. Will admit that Dubs from before the early 2000s did kinda suck. Like tasteful, *restrained* use of CGI but not over-use.

Have you been to any Cons or other Anime meetings/clubs?

Gate-crashed A-Kon (Dallas) in 2009, just to check out the cosplay people and the vendor tables. Regular attendee of Anime at the Alamo Drafthouse (West Oaks Houston) since 2004, though with a hiatus from 2007-2009 when I lived in Denton, TX (and watched every single anime worth watching owned by Hastings Books & Records of Denton then got a Netflix subscription to feed my addiction ^_^ )

How do you get your anime: download, buy, rent, borrow, or some other way?

Netflix rental DVD + streaming and buy from Right Stuf! and Amazon.com. Watch new screenings at Alamo Drafthouse West Oaks that catch my eye and look interesting. I love all forms of animation, not just Japanese Anime, so I am always up for animation film festivals like Spike & Mike's, or the Int'l Tournee of Animation kinds of things.
