I'm at the top of the hill to the left of the bar if you're facing the stage
Extra ticket nyone? :(
Surgery to remove ankle pins is scheduled on Wednesday..... but I'm still coming out Thursday! My healing arm isn't ready for crutches.... so.... Kids, you can just look for the old gal crawling across the lawn on her hands and knees... cuz they dont allow wheel chairs on the lawn! yeah. I love concerts that much.

Wow! You are a real trooper! You might check with them at the front. The event employees should be able to physically accomodate someone who is unable to walk due to surgery.

Yes, Rob. They already informed me they will find someplace to park me in a handicap slot..... ugggh. Of course, then again, I may be on such pain meds that nothing much will matter! Lol rock on.

Great, glad you could make it. With your enthusiasm, no one will be able to hold a candle to you when you are 100% healed up again. Good luck on your recovery on your ankle.
Would someone who is going to this show like to step up and help organize the group? It's really pretty easy. Just let everyone know your number, get there a little early and let everyone know where to find you then as people show up you help guide them to the spot.

Anu - I bought a lawn ticket and I am sure that others have or will in the future because this is too good of a concert to pass by plus it is such a bargain! I will be coming after work from Downtown Houston so it will take me some time to eat some dinner, then drive to the Woodlands, park, and walk to the concert. So, when I arrive, I will let you and the whole group know by a comment like this one which I will make on Meetup and you and/or another member of the group can tell me where you/the group are on the lawn and I will join you and the group that is there. On the other hand, if I get there before you, I will direct you to where I and the group am so you can find us. Everyone that I have met at these concert meetups have been friendly and avid music fans who are fun to talk with. Will you be able to check the meetup page or your meetup e-mail on your smartphone so that you can get updates when you are at the concert? If so, we can meetup and enjoy a great concert.

If you don't know about Lynrd Skynyrd, you are missing out on one of the greatest rock groups ever. Lynrd Skynyrd is an American rock band best known for popularizing the southern hard-rock genre during the 1970s. The band rose to worldwide recognition on the basis of its driving live performances and signature tunes "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Free Bird." At the peak of their success, three members died in an airplane crash in 1977, putting an abrupt end to the band's most popular incarnation.
The surviving band members re-formed in 1987 for a reunion tour with lead vocalist Johnny Van Zant, the younger brother of lead singer and founder Ronnie Van Zant. Lynyrd Skynyrd was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 13, 2006.
You need to see this legendary powerful group in concert for yourself.

Are you familiar with Bad Company (the band)? Bad Company is an English rock supergroup founded in 1973, consisting of two former Free band members—singer Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke—as well as Mott the Hoople guitarist Mick Ralphs and King Crimson bassist Boz Burrell. Peter Grant, who, in years prior, was a key component of fellow British rock band Led Zeppelin's rise to fame, managed the band. Bad Company enjoyed great success throughout the 1970s. Many of their singles, such as "Bad Company", "Can't Get Enough", "Good Lovin' Gone Bad", and "Feel Like Makin' Love", retain popularity with rockers of both the past and present decades. To this day, their songs remain staples of classic rock radio
How does this work? Do we all buy tickets together ? Or is this event just created to show the concerts happening in Houston?

Great question. First, everyone is responsible for their buying their own tickets. Second, for shows like this one, where there is no organizer going. If you guys want to get meetup then you need to organize yourselves. The Woodlands has lawn seating so it's actually pretty easy to do.

We love live music. Houston has some really amazing "hidden gems" and is also beginning to draw the bigger names. Our goal is to find those hidden gems, see those big names and hopefully makes some friends along the way.
