Following a nice and fun tradition started last year, I would like to let you know that we will have another Karnevalsdinner at Charivari Restaurant this upcoming February 7th, 2013 at 7pm.
SAVE THE DATE
Last year we played music from the most prominent Cologne bands, there was someschunkeling(rhytmical dancing typical to Karnevalparties in Cologne), some drinking of Houston made Koelsch beer, delicious dishes from the Rhenanian cuisine prepared by Chef Schuster and somejecke Wiever (Cologne dialect word for crazy woman, which is the name of the day we do this carneval dinner, Weiberfastnacht or inkoelsch Wieverfastelovend)got away with some gents neck ties paying the done damage off with sweetbuetze (according to tradition the crazy women cut off ties and shoe laces during their night out on the town. the cut off ties are trophies but men are paid in kisses (buetze) for their losses.)
The menu this year will feature some typical dishes and some new developments by chef Schuster. Chef Schuster is currently designing the menu, and the price will be again in the 40USD range.
