This is a group devoted to all things gastronomical, exploring the food scene in and around Houston. It is claimed that Houston has more restaurants per capita than New York City, hence it befalls us to verify the claim.

The plans for the group include the following:
1. To go through the list of top 100 as compiled in the book Fearless Critic.
2. To have dinners/brunches based on some overall theme, for example investigating the best ribs in Houston.
3. Culinary classes, we could sign up together and learn some new techniques.
4. Possible outings to wine and dine events in the region.

... and much more. I plan to host at least one event per week, maybe more so stay tuned.

Policy:

1. Please try to bring cash. It may not always be possible to get separate checks. If it's a combined check then if everyone agrees we will split the check even with 20% tip. Otherwise individuals will identify what they had and each person will be assigned 128% of their portion, i.e. 20% tip, 8% tax.

2. The host reserves the right to cancel the event if RSVP count is very low. This is not a certainty, but a possibility.
