This Blitz Hackfest is hosted at Thomson Reuters!

The Monthly Web-Tech Blitz Hackathon is a monthly series of 4-hours hacking competitions. You have 1 hour to form an idea for small app and a team, and 3 hours to build something awesome!

The goal is to learn and have fun - AND you get a chance to win prizes and be famous!

The Blitz Hackfest -

6pm to 6:30pmFood & Drinks - hot entrees with vegetarian options and salad! Networking and Team building.

6:30pm to 6:40pm – Presenting the API and SDKs for this Blitz Hackathon.

6:40pm to 9:40pm – Blitz Hacking! Bring your groovy skills and show us what you got!

9:40pm to 10pm – Judging, winners take fame and prize - $400!

This month's APIs

This time we'll be exploring the wonders of data and real-time semantics, with the power of Thomson Reuters APIs! Check out the APIs, and get an unfair advantage of being prepared: Open Calais, Cortellis (cheat-sheet) and Financial Data & News (details coming up!).

Our speaker for this hackfest will be Ian Cooper, Technical Architect at Thomson Reuters.
