I didn't know for sure until first Snitchseeker and then Pottermore both put me in Hufflepuff. It felt right and I'm a proud Hufflepuff!
I can only answer this slightly more easily than I could answer, "Which child is your favorite?" I love all of them for different reasons. For instance, there is sweetness to Sorcerer's Stone and I love the increasing complexity of later books.
Sigh, such hard questions! I like Harry for the way he does the right thing, I like Hermione's bookishness, I like how funny Ron can be, I like Luna's wisdom, I like Hagrid's passion for creatures, and on and on . . . I see I get 1000 characters for these answers, so maybe later when I have more time, I'll compose longer answers. :D
It was listed in one of the many Meetup emails I receive months ago, and then again, and then again today. I had initially thought, sadly, that I'd rarely be able to attend a meeting because I'm in Fredericksburg, so it'll be a long drive. But then I saw some online meetings planned. Also, I assumed everyone would be ten or more years younger than me but as I browsed the member list I found other Harry Potter fans who might be closer to my age (I turned 40 on 11/22/11). Yay! I look forward to meeting everyone!
I've been a fan of the HP books since I read the entire series for the first time in 2007. I was lucky I didn't have to wait for any of them, except just a few weeks for Deathly Hallows. I'm a happily married mom of three homeschooling kids.
