Katsu takes place in a beautiful hotel, the Gaylord. It's perfect for some beautiful pictures for cosplay. The convention has grown and is now in the 15,000 range if not larger. It's no longer a small con, but considered one of the larger or mid-size cons.
Some GPS's won't normally pick up the address, http://www.gaylordhotels.com/gaylord-national/index.html?source=/national-home.html But it is literally right across the Potomoc on the MD side. You will cross a giant multilane bridge to get to it. On your far left you'll see the Washington Monument and see planes flying out of the DC airport.

So, if I filled out a volunteer application a few weeks back and still haven't gotten a response from them, does that mean they don't need me? Never been to a con, would like to volunteer for it.
