Introduction - Tell us a little about yourself:

No answer yet

What kind of adventures would you like to see us schedule?

Canoeing, principally on rivers, to use my 17' Old Town Tripper. Kayaking, mostly flatwater, to use my 17' Current Designs Oracle GTS, my 16.5' Eddyline Fathom, or my 13 1/2' Hobie Revolution with Mirage drive. Backpacking

Where is your favorite place to camp/hike/bike/climb, etc?

My favorite backpacking places seem to be located in West Virginia: Spruce Knob Wilderness Area and Dolly Sods Wilderness Area are probably my favorites. I have an affection for Ramsey's Draft Wilderness off Route 250 above Staunton also. I've enjoyed biking on the Allegheny Passage/C &O Canal, the New River Trail, Greenbrier Trail, parts of the Capital Trail along Route 5, local circuits off the Dismal Swamp trail in Chesapeake, Jamestown Island circuit, Chuckatuck to Windsor, etc. I've enjoyed paddling around Goodwin Islands in the York River, Blackwater River between Isle of Wight County and Southampton County, South Fork of the Shenandoah from Luray to Bentonville, creeks off the Chickahominy River, Okefenokee Swamp, Northeast Cape Fear River, etc.

Are you a tent, trailer, tarp, hammock, or cabin camper?

I'm mostly a tent camper, and have three tents of different size for the occasion of biking or tenting solo, car-camping, etc.

I live in Norfolk. I'm a member of Tidewater Bicycle Ass'n (TBA) and the Tidewater Appalachian Trail Club (TATC).
