Hello Everyone,

Here is a great opportunity to meet your fellow HSPs in a beautiful outdoor setting. I want to thank Barbara B for recommending Colonial Park. Here are some of her thoughts about this Meetup:

"We can meet near the largest parking lot at Mettlers Road (I believe marked Lot A) near the Rose Garden.
Across from the parking lot, there is a huge field that we could put blankets and chairs on, and there are some trees for shade. It's a short walk from the bathroom, and near a pond.

You should bring portable chairs to sit in/blankets to lounge on, and munchies to share. Plus whatever you want to drink (non alcoholic). I'll bring some frisbees and a bocce ball set. It should be fun!"

I've decided not to have a rain date of July 19th. The alternate plan is to have the Meetup at The Somerset Diner, 1045 Easton Ave., Somerset, NJ. at 1:00 PM. It's close to Colonial Park and there is plenty of parking. I'll send a group email that morning in case of rain or extreme heat conditions.

I want to emphasize that you will be in a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental atmosphere. You can stay as long as you'd like. Feel free to leave when you need to. No one will be offended.

JoAnn made a suggestion of a great topic that we can talk about. The importance of relationships/ friendships for HSPs.

I hope we can get a great turnout! Any thoughts about possible carpools? Put them on the message board.

I'm looking forward to seeing you.

Best Regards,
Cliff

I know this is last-minute: Is anyone driving from Philly and willing to offer me a ride? I'd love to come. Let me know. Thanks!

Can't make it to this one. I'm performing in the musical Nine at the Black River Playhouse in Chester, NJ, weekends until July 19th. It's a unique, intimate theatre. A film version of Nine is coming out in the fall. Go to www.chestertheatregroup.org for more information!

This is a beautiful park. I hope it won't be too hot. Sorry I missed the last phone conference--last minute schedule conflict. It was good to meet so many HSPs face to face in Metuchen a few weeks ago. I got a lot of value from our conversations. Thanks so much.

I tried to RSVP as "maybe" but only saw the yes and no options. If its on July 19 that would work out better for me.

    •  That park was the perfect place for HSPs! I also like the ideas of having more than one optional meetups each month for variety..hikes, vegetarian restaurants, etc.
    •  It was my 3rd meeting and best yet! The group is really coming together. It was great to see other HSPs in the outdoor setting.
    •  Wonderful weather, wonderful setting, and wonderful people! Thank you all for helping make this Meetup an enjoyable experience.
    •  Nice place to meet
    •  It was great being in a park setting, relaxing, eating and socializing, an enjoyable day spent with fellow HSP's
    •  The park is beautiful and is a wonderful and tranquil place for HSPs to meet.
    •  Just what an HSP needs! I had an excellent time meeting other HSP and sharing experiences, meals, and laughter. The camaraderieship was also excellent! Great job, Cliff (and everyone who participated) - I look forward to the next HSP meeting.
    •  Perfect weather & perfect setting for this meeting. Enjoyed meeting Cliff & others. Good topic of discussion too & really appreciate the valuable feedback from other members.
    •  Nice park and very nice people.
    •  Everyone was good natured, curious about one another and this special trait we share. It was nice that if you were uncomfortable answering a question - it was not a problem to say "pass". We got a little off topic, but I think everyone was excited to meet other HSP's and we worked out future events and relevent topics for discussion.
