Do you feel uncomfortable being around groups of people? I do! Social anxiety isn't necessarily a highly sensitive person trait, but I know that it's an issue for me.

I find that venting my feelings in a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental atmosphere has help me better cope with "the outside world". It's kind of ironic that socializing with others is the anecdote for your fear of being around groups of people!

Here's your chance to talk to others who share the same challenges that you have.

This 2 hour meeting will take place in Belle Meade, NJ. You can also have the option of going out to eat with other HSPs at a restaurant that's located nearby.

There is only room for 14 people. Please RSVP if you can definitely come. I'll send you the meeting location when you RSVP.

    •  The venue is a good one. Kudos and thanks go to Cliff and Pat, respectively, for their parts in the formation of the meetings. I would like to see this group mature, so eventually we can stay on topic and utilize the time more efficiently.
    •  I like attending these meet-ups because by conversing and listening to the group I feel like I am making a contribution and learning something new.
    •  I really did enjoy the meetup discussion group and going out to dinner afterwards. I plan to have more meetings like this.
    •  I thought this meetup did not deal as much with social anxiety as I might have expected (it seemed to tend more toward general HSP-ness), but it was still positive and worthwhile. As before, Cliff was very enthusiastic and skillful in encouraging people to talk and share their feelings. I enjoyed seeing the people I met last time, as well as meeting some new people. Thanks also to Pat, for sharing her home with all of us.
